Brodie is, in his own words, a proud Pitta Pitta Wakaya man from Mount Isa on Kalkadoon country. His grandmother is from Boulia and his grandfather from Katherine. He worked in child protection at the local Aboriginal medical service for eight years, and runs his fitness business in the early mornings and evenings around it, taking young people out bush and into the gym.
